Twelve teams representing universities from across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom are competing this weekend in the ninth annual Animal Welfare Judging and Assessment Contest on MSU's campus.

A gift of more than $120,000 in laboratory equipment from The Dow Chemical Co. will assist Michigan State University in establishing a planned Center for Packaging Innovation and Sustainability on campus.
