MSU among top universities for study abroad participation, international student enrollment

For the fifth year in a row, Michigan State University leads the nation in study abroad participation among public universities in the United States, according to Open Doors 2009, the annual report on international education released Nov. 16 by the Institute of International Education.

Kenneth Corey receives first Gill-Chin Lim Global Award

Kenneth Corey, professor of geography and urban planning at Michigan State University, is the recipient of the first Gill-Chin Lim Global Award from the Consortium on Development Studies. The $10,000 award was presented to Corey this summer at a ceremony held at Hanyang University in Korea.
