MSU kinesiology professor to carry Olympic torch through Calgary

A Michigan State University kinesiology professor will traverse the wintry conditions of Calgary this January as he joins 12,000 other torchbearers carrying the Olympic flame from Greece to Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Games.

Debate pair wins tournament

The Michigan State University debate pair of senior Carly Wunderlich (Brookfield, Wis.) and junior Eric Lanning (The Woodlands, Texas) won first place at the Henry Clay debates at the University of Kentucky, defeating many of the nation’s top teams.

David Wright has been named chairperson of the Michigan State University Department of Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies. His three-year appointment became effective Aug. 15.
