To help small- and medium-size businesses tap into China’s economic opportunities, Michigan State University has partnered with local business organizations to offer a Business and Investment Tour of China May 2-13.

MSU’s partners include Small Business Advocate of Michigan Economic Development Corp., Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, LEAP Inc. and Adelson Center for U.S. - China Enterprise.

With 1.3 billion people, China is recognized as one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Tour participants will have the opportunity to visit Chinese government agencies, the U.S. Embassy, meet local business representatives and tour manufacturing facilities. Stops will be made in four cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

The Business and Investment Tour delegation is expected to include owners of small and medium-size businesses; community economic development leaders; import/export company managers and business association administrators.
