Traffic advisory: Portions of Farm Lane, Service roads closed Oct. 16

Portions of Farm Lane and Service roads on the campus of Michigan State University will be closed Oct. 16 for grand opening activities and a ceremony marking the re-opening of Farm Lane.

The “New Farm Lane: Bridge to the Future” program begins at 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Farm Lane and Service Road on the MSU campus. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon, MSU Board of Trustee member Colleen McNamara and Kirk T. Steudle, state transportation director, will be among the dignitaries speaking at the event. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and parade will follow.

Guests should park in the Trowbridge parking ramp at the corner of Trowbridge and Red Cedar roads near the Communication Arts and Sciences Building. A golf cart service will be available for those needing assistance to and from the event.

In the event of inclement weather the program activities will be held in Room 147 of the Communication Arts and Sciences Building. Parking will be available in the Trowbridge parking ramp.
